Assessment Structure

Each lesson concludes with a 20-question assessment of True/False, Multiple Choice, and Written Response questions. Midterm examinations are administered after Modules 3 and 5. A Final Comprehensive Examination is administered upon completion of all modules. All examinations require an access code issued by the administering bishop.

All work submitted in this curriculum must represent your own reflection, study, and application. The written response questions are formation instruments designed to reveal where you are, not to showcase what you can produce. Misrepresentation in formation is a character failure, not merely an academic one.

PREAMBLE

Those who seek licensure, ordination, consecration, episcopal elevation, or ecclesiastical leadership are called to a sacred trust and a higher standard of life. Holy Scripture teaches that those entrusted with leadership in the Church are to be examples to the flock in doctrine, character, conduct, stewardship, holiness, and integrity.

The Episcopal Formation Academy exists not merely to educate clergy but to form leaders whose lives reflect the character of Jesus Christ and whose ministry demonstrates fidelity to Scripture, ethical conduct, spiritual maturity, and unwavering commitment to truth.

Participation in the Episcopal Formation Academy constitutes voluntary agreement to these standards. Failure to adhere to them may result in corrective action, disciplinary measures, removal from the Academy, denial of advancement, suspension of credentials, or other ecclesiastical sanctions.
